They are six :

• Jonathan, the unpredictable and opportunist anartist…
• Mike, fond of hip-hop, his dream is to play a part in Shakespeare…
• Urbain, convinced that his future will take place in our real world...
• Lise, an Alice in quest of her Wonderland…
• Sophie, born happily in a video game…
• and Hélène who claims to have lost part of her memory during a hard disk crash…

This interactive creation conceived with machinimas questions the relation of the actors towards the characters and the author (the authors) through the referent play written by Luigi Pirandello “6 characters in quest of an author”.

Through 24 scenes each being a reference to an epigraph of 24 renowned authors (from Platon to Raymond Hull, as well as Shakespeare, Arrabal, Cortazar, Cocteau..), that could be 24 hours in the life of the avatars evoked through short sequences, those latter being interactive or not or, who knows not really, (you will just have to find out the “I” symbol on the left bottom of the screen). All those sequences are inspired by video game, theatre, cinema, surrealism, fantastic, fantasizing… atmospheres.

The role you will play is inter’actor, caught between avatars and authors, observing, if not influencing the fate of some of the avatars. With them, you will be confronted with the games and stakes of the scene of Life, projection of oneself, identity and its mirror effects, as well as the relations between observors and observed, between manipulators and manipulated, and the imbrications amidst real and virtual worlds.

But beware: during a session, the avatars will play only once which will allow you to see three or four sequences among the twenty-four… Frustrating, isn’t it?

Well, let's say it’s a little bit like in real life : it seems that one cannot always go as far as one  wishes in encounters. But with some perseverance …
